Johnny Dutch is a filmmaker and former professional athlete from Clayton, North Carolina. He earned his B.A. in Media Arts–Film Production from the University of South Carolina, where he made history by winning the school’s first NCAA Championship in the 400-meter hurdles and was named USC Athlete of the Year.
His films have been featured on PBS and Aspire TV, with short works showcased at over 20 film festivals worldwide — including the Children’s Film Festival Seattle, Toronto Black Film Festival, Gentleman’s Jack Daniel’s Real to Reel, Las Vegas Black Film Festival, and the Miami Independent Film Festival, among others.
In 2021, Johnny appeared on HBO Max’s Finding Magic Mike, where he won the finale and later performed a solo number with the Magic Mike Live cast in Las Vegas.
