About:
My experience with acting is limited to film strips when I was in junior high school. I worked for a local company called Human Relations. My film strip career was short, but memerable as my classmates in high school saw several adaptations of my skills. I portrayed a basket ball player in the Bronx, New York. And was a bit of a tough guy. If anyone was out of line, I acted as if to hurt them and their bicycles. The film strip was about unprovoked racially motivated acts of violence. My second portrayal was of a indigent child of Appalachia. We used dirt on our faces and the back drop was actually in Pleasantville on the deck of a tea manufacturing company. There was a third portrayal of me crying. We had to use a can string beans to use as tears. The cameral could pick up the discolored tears better as they ran down my face from my eyes. I do not recall how this film strip was used and in what context. This is from a very long time ago. My younger sister remembers seeing one of the film strips. Class mates of mine also saw the film strip and they broke out into applause and severely embarrassed me. I remember this well.
