About:
Jason Landers is currently in his 10th year as a teacher at North Forsyth Middle School and in his 21st year as an educator. He is also the Principal Pianist at Hamilton Mill UMC in Dacula and former co-director of the Forsyth Philharmonic Orchestra. Jason earned his Ed.S. in Middle Grades Education, M.M.Ed. in Music Education, and BMUS in Music Education degrees from the University of Georgia. He has served as an accompanist for 30 various District Honor, 6th Grade Statewide, and Georgia All-State Choirs. He has been nominated by his peers for Teacher of the Year six times, was couny semi-finalist for this honor in 2024, and holds memberships in GMEA, NAfME, MENSA, Delta Epsilon Iota National Honor Society, and Pi Kappa Lambda honorary music society. Jason’s former students have gone on to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, the Academy Awards, The Voice, America’s Got Talent, and for the President of the United States. He resides in Cumming with his wife Rachel, who is an accomplished and skilled oboist/English hornist, and his 15-year old son Seth.
