Janet Love

Janet N. Love’s passion for theater has been a lifelong journey. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, she attended performing arts schools from a young age, including Shaw VPAC, Marquette VPAMS, and Central VPAH. Her love for the stage continued as she co-founded the Harris-Stowe State College Players at Harris-Stowe State University. Throughout her career, Janet has graced the stage in productions such as "St. Louis Attitude," "No Justice, No Peace," and the gospel musicals "Only the Strong" and "When I Get Home." After taking a break to focus on her family, Janet remained connected to the arts by teaching Musical Theater & Spoken Word in various community schools in St. Louis through Neighborhood Houses and Better Family Life. She also worked in the 20th Century afterschool program in Leon County Schools, Tallahassee, FL, with MLG Productions. In 2019, Janet returned to the stage, portraying Ms. Ingram in the critically acclaimed So’ Productions play, "The Big White House on the Hill" in Tallahassee, FL. She is currently the co-host of two podcasts, "The Pew Babies Show" and "Red Carpet Rendezvous," available on Facebook and YouTube. Janet is also known as a clean comedian under the persona "The Janet N. Love Experience," where she shares her life stories and entertains audiences with her alter ego, "Momma Dot." Beyond her artistic pursuits, Janet is an entrepreneur, running her own digital content firm, Destiny Productions. She takes pride in being a loving mother to three daughters (Stacie, Starr, and Serita) and a devoted grandmother to six grandchildren (Kelsey, Karamia, Serenity, Kevin III, Kenai & Kenjari) She is also a godmother to several children nationwide.
