India Thakar

My name is India and I am an aspiring actress and filmmaker from Pittsburgh, PA. Growing up in a mixed race household, with my father being of Indian descent, and my mother Polish and French, I've was exposed to both Bollywood and Hollywood cinema at an early age. From age 3 to 18, I studied dance at Lincoln Park Academy under Maria Torrence, including classical ballet, contemporary dance, tap, and jazz. This was my first exposure to working under the spotlight, and acting in front of an audience. I additionally took acting intensives during this time. I went on to study Media Arts at Juniata College, where I advanced my film background serving behind the scenes as a screenwriter, and as an actress.

Now graduated, I have been working as a freelance Graphic and Website Designer, which has given me much flexibility to continue creative projects. During this time, I have created a few short films, and collaborated with music artists. 

 Currently, I am taking acting classes on the side, and am actively seeking speaking roles in film productions.
