Héctor GarcÃa De León is a seasoned cultural performer, communications director, and social media strategist with over a decade of experience championing Afro-Puerto Rican music and culture. As the lead singer of Kalindá, he has captivated audiences through high-energy live performances, television productions, and large-scale live events.
In 2025, Héctor performed as a Bomba dancer during Rauw Alejandro’s Cosa Nuestra Tour in Puerto Rico, collaborating closely with the artist’s choreographers to create a more immersive celebration of Puerto Rican music and culture at the iconic Coliseo de Puerto Rico (El Choliseo). He also headlined the 2024 National Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City with his performance group Gracimá, where the ensemble was honored for preserving Afro-Puerto Rican cultural traditions across eight generations. Both on and off the stage, Héctor brings passion, authenticity, and storytelling to his work, using performance and digital media to amplify Afro-Puerto Rican heritage for global audiences.
