She is now based in the US, but Geraldine Jennings made her film debut as the lead star in Isla Babuyan (2025), which premiered nationwide in Philippine cinemas on October 1st and will soon stream online, internationally. She portrayed Anastasia, a half-British, half-Filipina girl who grew up in London, and is returning to the Philippines to rediscover her Filipino roots and connect with her mother —a demanding role requiring emotional depth and nuance. Despite being a newcomer, she delivered a moving and authentic performance that earned widespread acclaim from critics. My Movieworld Entertainment PH called Geraldine's performance “impressive and emotionally genuine.” The Daily Tribune wrote, “the camera loves her,”. Out of many applicants, Jennings auditioned for this role, and was personally hand picked by the veteran showbiz manager: Leo Dominguez, who saw Jennings' potential as an actress and singer. Having passed away last year, Leo handled many of the Philippines’ biggest stars and talents. Jennings is also a singer and began her career singing at competitions in the United Kingdom, having won awards at the Open Mic competitions for her distinct and beautiful voice.
