Gabriel Iriarte

Hello, my name is Gabriel, I’m a computer science drop out turned professional chef, looking to open my own food truck in Chicago this spring. I’ve been in the industry close to 10 years and in that time have worked my way up from prep cook to being an executive chef. I’m self taught with a tenure and cultural ties in Peru, and have quite the story of falling in love becoming a head chef at the age 23, divorce and demise. Now 28-29, my goal is to open my own truck, work for myself, and serve my community. Serving my community has always been a love and goal of mine. With experience in improv and customer service, I feel like I’m a communicative team player that can take on leadership roles.
