About:
Fred Flu was born in Fort Hood, Texas, but raised in a military family. He has been in the culinary industry since 2011 as a professional. Industry trained and self-taught, his style of cooking combines southern traditional cultural flavors with an international taste and ingredients into one dish. In 2016, Chef Flu was featured on Food Network’s Cooks vs. Cons, Season 2; Episode 3 “Shrimp & Grits Gridiron”, in which he won the competition. Since then, Chef Flu continues to create food content on social media and collaborate with social events throughout Atlanta while traveling to cook at national food trade shows. He is the executive chef for his own private catering company and continues to strive to be the face of the new taste. He welcomes you all to The Fluniversity.
