Hello. My name is Frank Bordignon, I’m 27 years old, I come from Italy. I joined this platform because I intend to become myself an actor and a screenwriter too. I’m aware of people who made it through the Film Industry without degrees, people who somehow learnt what to do without taking classes. Just saying, I reached this platform through an article of this platform itself about 16 actors who’ve never taken acting classes. And there are very famous people, so people who succeeded a lot. Yeah, English is not my mother language but I’m currently a C1. My knowledge is mostly self-taught. Sure, I went to school, I also faced some exams in English at university but if my knowledge is so much beyond the basics, for sure it’s thanks to the movies in the original language I saw. That’s a very compelling way to learn the language. No doubt. However. I have more than one purpose in life, one of these is what I said before, another one is I wanna move once and for all to the United States of America. It’s a country I’ve been fascinated with since I was a child. Also, I have some projects or simply ideas about stories to turn them into screenplays and then into movies. Working in this world would mean to me changing my whole life. You know, while I’m doing this video, I’m jobless. In this country it’s all but easy to get a job. I myself don’t know how many times I’ve been rejected so far. Without speaking of the wages. There is no minimum wage here. Absolutely. Considering that I’m not a wealthy guy, that I’ve tended more to study than to work, well, money has always been a taboo for me. Not for nothing, at least for the very beginning, I need help. A help not everybody is willing to give. I could quietly apply for various jobs here, but there would be anyways the issue of the money to allow me to leave this country. So, I say again I need help. I know here there are many people I can reach, people who are already in the business or not yet. Right now my life situation is all but the best one. But I personally hope I can change it, inside out. But the need for help remains. I'm 27 now, in less than three months I'll turn 28. As much as I'm young, I'm not just 20. I don't wanna waste my whole life. This help request goes against the self-made man idea, does it? Arnold Schwarzenegger, a man I deeply admire, said publicly he’s not a self-made man. He doesn’t believe in this idea, myth or whatever. He also said that none of us can make it alone. He said these things during a speech in a college, I think, not too many years ago. So, if a guy like him doesn’t believe in this thing, well, everyone may not believe it. Everyone. About my formation, I saw some online courses and ones which don’t last a lot of time. Rather than nothing, attending a few and short online courses is good. I completed one about screenwriting and I started one more. Either way. In case I'll be accepted for a job I'm gonna find for this world, I'll be willing to learn everything needed. Everything. You all know this is the only way to go, to go forward. That being said, I hope I can receive the help I need, that I can receive at least one good opportunity to start working in this fantastic world. Also I hope I can find the right people here to create a good connection with. I can do a lot of things, I have potential, I can do my part to keep this world great.
