Erica Pressley

Erica Pressley | Erica Pressley is a highly accomplished competitive golfer and member of the USA Deaf Women’s Golf Team. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, Erica began playing golf at the age of seven and went on to earn a full golf scholarship to the University of South Carolina, where she was a four-time Academic All-American and received the prestigious NCAA Dinah Shore Award in 2006. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major in Marketing and Real Estate. Throughout her career, Erica has competed at the highest levels of amateur golf, including eight USGA championships. She was named San Antonio Women’s Player of the Year in 2010 and won the Houston Women’s City Amateur Championship in 2014 and 2019. After losing most of her hearing at age 18 (she wears hearing aids to help hear, speak, and communicate well with the hearing world), Erica found a new competitive path through deaf golf. She has represented Team USA on the international stage, earning a 5th-place finish at the 2022 World Deaf Golf Championships in Hawaii, where she was the top-finishing American woman. In 2023, she finished runner-up at the U.S. Deaf Golf Championships, qualifying for the 2024 World Deaf Golf Championships in Australia. There, she helped Team USA capture the Women’s Team Championship while finishing tied for 4th individually and as the top-finishing American woman. In 2025, Erica achieved a lifelong dream by representing Team USA at the Deaflympics in Tokyo, Japan. Competing against professional and amateur deaf golfers from around the world, she finished 5th individually and was the top-finishing American woman. She also had the honor of competing alongside Team USA silver medalist Kevin Hall in mixed-team competition. A former collegiate standout and accomplished amateur competitor, Erica continues to compete as a scratch golfer while balancing golf with her roles as a wife, mother, and middle school girls basketball coach. Her journey from collegiate golf to the international stage reflects her passion for competition, perseverance, and representing Team USA.
