Ema Petreska

Ema Petreska - Biography Ema Petreska is a Macedonian producer, born on December 21, 2009, in Skopje. From a young age, she showed a strong interest in creative disciplines, and her love for film began early when she discovered the power of storytelling through the medium of cinema. Inspired by the world of art and her desire to create something original, Ema ventured into the film industry at the age of 13. Currently, she is still a student at the “Nikola Karev” high school in Skopje, but she has already established herself as a young, promising producer. Throughout her education, Ema has been actively involved in various film production projects, which have set her on the path to professional success. Not only has she participated in school projects, but she has also joined independent film projects that helped her develop her talent and skills. As a producer at Pregratka Production, Ema has taken a leading role in the development of some of the company’s most well-known and successful projects, including the teenage series Прв Пат Живеам (‘Living for the First Time’) and the short film Боите што никогаш не ги знаев (‘The Colors I Never Knew’), which won the Best Short Film Award in 2024. Ema plays an integral role in script selection, casting, and production, making her a key figure in the industry. Her excellent communication skills and ability to work with young talents have set her apart as a producer who strives to give new, creative voices a platform. Ema is particularly proud of her work that promotes Macedonian cinema and opens doors for young people to express themselves in the industry. In her free time, Ema has a number of passions that inspire her work. She loves to travel, which allows her to explore different cultures and gain new ideas for film stories. Reading, music, and fashion also play a significant role in her life, and modeling is another creative outlet for her. She integrates these personal interests into her professional work, helping her to create more diverse and innovative projects.
