Elena Altebrando
About:
I'm an actress based out of New York City and Washington, D.C. In June of this year, I graduated from the Drama program at the renowned Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Music, Art, and Performing Arts.
In my senior year at LaGuardia, I played Masha in the Seagull, Honey in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, and assisted LaG Drama teacher Ms.Tsantilas in casting the next year’s All-School Musical West Side Story. I was also this year’s recipient of the LaGuardia Alumni & Friend’s Marjorie Dycke Memorial Theater Award.
I am originally from Astoria, Queens, but am currently studying at American University in Washington, D.C. pursuing a dual degree in Theater Performance and Economics. Next semester I will be performing in the world premiere of a musical adaptation by Aaron Posner (Stupid F**king Bird) and Greg Kotis (Urinetown) of The Two Gentlemen of Verona. I will be in the ensemble and understudying Julia. The production will be directed by Aaron Posner.
My background and training is predominantly in theater, but I am a huge film fan (I’ve logged over a hundred films on Letterboxd this year), so I am looking to work in Film and TV as well.
