Derek Reginald

A passionate and skilled American actor and voice artist, Derek brings a professional attitude and positive energy to any set or production. Privately coached in the fundamentals of character development and other essential aspects of acting for TV and film by a 35-year industry professional, he has wasted little time putting it to use in his short career having booked a lead role in his very next appearance with director Sofia Alaoui (Winner of the Short Film Grand Jury Prize Sundance 2020 and the 2021 Césars, shortlisted for 2021 Academy Awards), and this after securing a co-starring role in Showtime Networks' "Homeland" series prior to having received any training. Derek continues to learn new skills and develop his craft in anticipation of new opportunities. As a native English speaker and avid linguist speaking advanced French, Spanish, and Arabic and multi-sport athlete having played basketball professionally, Derek understands and possesses the discipline and determination necessary in challenging the boundaries of what is believed possible in his relentless pursuit of excellence. That commitment, coupled with his desire to serve others, has led him around the globe and ultimately to Casablanca, Morocco where he currently resides seeking to use his talents and skills to have a positive impact on his community and the growing film industry, sometimes simply by sharing one of his numerous culinary creations.
