Cynthia Hedemark

C.M.F. Hedemark loves writing. Raised in Chicago, Hedemark grew up immersed in novels, television, film, and nearly every genre of music. She attended the Chicago High School for the Arts with a concentration in creative writing and is currently studying dramatic writing at New York University (NYU). Her work has been recognized with six Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, including two Gold Keys. She has written and directed two original plays, participated in numerous writing workshops, and worked on a variety of sets, including NYU’s sketch comedy group FML, as a production assistant. She has also helped with editing fiction and creative nonfiction projects. You’ll likely find her in a coffee shop with a pen in hand, headphones blasting Kendrick Lamar or Mac Miller with a book open in her lap.
