About:
Cierra Watkins is an actor, singer, songwriter, dancer, and director. She has been performing in theatre and dance since the age of three. She decided to make theatre and film her career when she was casted as Marty in, “In the Middle of Grand Central Station” in high school. She then went on to pursue theatre in college at San Diego State University where she played, Van’s Sister in Dog Sees God, Kid #3 in The Free Play Project, Ruth in A Raisin in The Sun, Catherine Parr in Six, and Rosaline in Love’s Labor’s Lost in which she won the Randi McKenzie Award for her performance. In 2022, she was casted as Dorothy in Teatro San Diego’s production of The Wiz. She also founded her own Black Theatre organization at SDSU in which she directed and produced many plays. One of which was Detroit ‘67. She won a Randi McKenzie Award for this show as well. She has also done three short films Mama’s Babies(Kee), Strength in Unity(Sage), and The Thought That Counts(Kelly). Cierra is also a current student of the Tasha Smith Actors Workshop. Her aspirations are to be an actor on Broadway, in film, and in television.
