Briana Lewis
About:
Growing up as an Air Force Brat, theatre and music helped me to connect with others whenever I had to adjust to a new town. I began my flute studies at age ten with Debbie Blake and made my acting debut as a sheriff catching an outlaw in the 5th grade play. I continued my drama and flute studies through high school and then at Adams State University where I managed to push a musical theatre workshop involving the music department and theatre department (helping to alleviate a twenty-year feud!) Post graduation, I sang and acted in Albuquerque's local musical theater scene while freelancing as a flutist. In July of 2015, I graduated Cum Laude with my Masters in Flute Contemporary Performance with a Concentration in Studio Production at Berklee College of Music. After graduation, I portrayed Gary Coleman in Chestnut Street Playhouse’s ‘Avenue Q’. After I relocated to NYC in 2017, I made my unofficial NYC debut as Molly in ‘When Romcoms Go Bad’ as part of the Gallery Player’s New Play Festival. I made my official NYC debut as an ensemble in the opera 'The Story of Harriet Tubman' with Utopia Opera. I am currently enrolled in Acting 2 with Francesca Ferrara and Acting for the Camera with David Deblinger at HB Studios and receiving great feedback from my instructors.
