Brian J. Pitt It wasn’t until elementary school that my music teacher recognized my singing ability and encouraged me to tryout for the school’s Christmas play. I was blessed to get the lead part that enabled me to sing my first solo. After receiving a good response from my performance , I knew at that moment that this was something that I wanted to do. Over the years I later enrolled in various performing arts programs in my hometown of Washington D.C., the DC. YOUTH ENSEMBLE , which offered area youth interested in the performing arts to receive formal training. I also continued to perform in school plays and sing in my church choir. While in High School I was blessed with another opportunity to be apart of the Washington Performing Arts Society’s “Children of the Gospel, a youth choir that performed around the Washington area. While performing with the choir I was humbled to be on stage with national recording artists such as gospel singers Vikki Winans, Richard Smallwood and r&b sensation Stephanie Mills. An aspiring actor as well I have been blessed to work as an extra on 3 major films , “ Enemy of the State, “ The Contender” and “ most recent “ The Preacher’s Kid”. I plan to do a lot more projects in the near future acting is right up there with singing. HBO Television series – The Wire A major goal of mine is to record an gospel album . I want to share my talent with peole and sings songs that everyone can relate to-timeless songs with feelings and a message. Some of my musical influences that have inspired me are Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, and legendary gospel artist such as the Winans , Clark Sisters and John P. Key. One day I want my music to touch people like the way these artist did for me.
