Aruna Bataa

Aruna started performing professionally in traditional circuses at age 9. In over 20 years onstage, including 10 years with Cirque du Soleil, she’s wowed audiences across 6 continents. She performed hand-balancing in Cirque’s Quidam and Saltimbanco, and for the last 6 years has been in OVO. Here, she performs both hand-balancing and contortion, making her a unique artist able to perform two solo acts in the same Cirque du Soleil show. Alongside performing in OVO she works as a Pilates instructor and Strength & Conditioning coach, with a focus on injury prevention. Combining conditioning and technique Aruna has a vast knowledge of teaching contortion/hand-balancing, and can teach in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Mongolian.
