Arlene Gomez

Arlene is a Brooklyn based spoken word poet, spiritualist and artist that began writing poetry at the age of 11. Although her educational background is in Psychology, her first two loves have always been music and creative writing, particularly poetry. Her literary influences include Maya Angelo, Langston Hughes and spoken word artist Jessica Care Moore. Additionally, she has always loved to sing. Arlene's musical influences span from the genres of Hip hop, RnB and pop, particularly, Nas, Michael Jackson, the Backstreet Boys, and Alicia Keys . She considers herself a creative person at heart and her poetry is marked with great emotion that flows out with every word and intonation.
