About:
My name is Doreen Williams, and I am the President of the United Nations Association of the United States of America, Southern Palmetto State Chapter (UNA-USA, SPSC). I am interested in establishing a Community and Urban Affairs Commission in SC.
The United Nations Association of the United States, a program of the United Nations Foundation, works day in and day out to support the mission of the UN by connecting Americans to the work of the UN and advocating for strong US leadership within the UN. UNA-USA is affiliated with the World Federation of United Nations Associations, which began in 1946 as a public movement for the UN. The United Nations is the one organization with the vision and reach to address the world’s most pressing challenges. The UN is an international organization, not a government. As a result, its effectiveness depends on the participation of 193 sovereign member states and the backing of citizens around the world.
In 2017, DW Green Institute Inc., Green School dba DW Communications & Media expanded our outreach efforts and partnered with the United Nations Association of the United States of America, making it the first of its kind in the area. As President of the United Nations Association of the United States of America, Southern Palmetto State Chapter (UNA-USA, SPSC). I take pride in the commitment and service to the UNA-USA. The goal is to continue the mission of educating and uplifting the community.
