Casting Call Job Description: Stand In #3 for “The Day Before Christmas” (BET+ Feature)

We are currently seeking talented individuals to fill the position of Stand In #3 for the upcoming BET+ feature, “The Day Before Christmas.” This is an exciting opportunity for young actors to gain on-set experience in a professional environment while contributing to a heartwarming holiday film.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Stand in for the child actor during the setup of lighting, camera angles, and all other necessary preparations, ensuring the principal actor’s time is used efficiently.
  • Work closely with the director, cinematographer, and other crew members to ensure accurate scene setups.
  • Be prepared to follow instructions carefully and replicate the principal actor’s positioning, movements, and any other aspects required by the directors and camera crew.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and exhibit patience, as setups and adjustments can take time.
  • Be flexible and available for the entire duration of the specified shooting schedule, understanding that call times can vary.

Requirements:

  • Must fit the physical characteristics specified: African American, Male or Female, height between 4’6″-4’8″.
  • Previous experience as a stand-in or actor preferred but not required.
  • Must be based in or able to commute to Atlanta, GA for the duration of the filming schedule.
  • A legal guardian must accompany applicants under the age of 18 at all times on set.
  • Must be available for the entirety of the specified shooting dates and flexible with scheduling.
  • Must comply with all set protocols, including any health and safety guidelines in place.

Compensation:

  • $170/12 hours. Please note, children will not work a full 12-hour day, and compensation will be in accordance with industry standards and regulations for child actors.

Casting Call: Seeking Mandarin Speaking Actor for Student Film

Job Details:

This student film, operating under the SAG-AFTRA Micro Budget Agreement, is seeking a talented individual to play the role of Jin, a college student with a deep fascination for ceramics who struggles to connect with his art due to the impersonal nature of his AI instructor. This is a last-minute replacement casting call, so prompt submissions are encouraged.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Portray the character of Jin, bringing to life his despondence and rebellion against the artificial instructor in a compelling manner.

  • Work closely with the director and crew to achieve the vision of the film.

  • Participate in all scheduled filming days and any required rehearsals.

  • Contribute to promotional activities as reasonably requested by the production team.

Requirements:

  • Asian Male, age 17-30.

  • Must speak fluent Mandarin Chinese. Fluency must be noted in your submission.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as a background performer in various scenes, accurately following the directions of the director and assistant directors.

We’re particularly interested in hearing from individuals or couples willing to share their story on camera.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a pre-filming interview to discuss your home buying or selling experience.
  • Work closely with the production team on the day of the shoot to capture your story authentically.
  • Be available for a one-day shoot where a small production team will come to your location.
  • Engage in on-camera activities as directed by the production staff.

Requirements:
