Job Description

A new stage production is seeking talented performers for a character-driven play exploring themes of grief, identity, family, friendship, and personal growth. This theater casting opportunity is looking for Northern Ireland-based actors capable of delivering emotionally rich performances while balancing humor, vulnerability, and intensity. Job Responsibilities

  • Perform in a live stage production
  • Portray emotionally layered and character-driven roles
  • Attend rehearsals and production meetings as scheduled
  • Collaborate closely with the director and cast
  • Deliver consistent and engaging performances during live shows
  • Contribute to the ensemble storytelling of the production

Requirements

  • Must be based in Northern Ireland
  • Strong acting and stage performance skills
  • Experience with character-driven storytelling preferred
  • Ability to portray complex emotional themes
  • Must be at least 17 years old
  • Comfortable performing in a live theater environment
  • Ability to perform a Derry accent is preferred

  • Conor Doherty – Playing age 14–17. A charismatic teenage leader struggling with grief, identity, and the legacy of his father.
  • Marie Doherty – Late 30s. A fiercely protective mother balancing love, loss, and fear for her son’s future.
  • Brendan Doherty – 30s. A witty and charismatic father whose past continues to influence those around him.
  • Patsy – Playing age 14–17. A loyal and humorous friend who masks insecurity behind confidence and banter.
  • Jitters – Playing age 14–17. An anxious but kind-hearted outsider with unexpected wisdom.
  • Fiona – Playing age 14–17. An intelligent and determined young woman driven by conviction and a desire to make her voice heard.
