Job Description
A horror/sci-fi short film titled Seek And You Shall Find is seeking a skilled Location Sound Recordist to join the production team. This project explores the story of a priest and exorcist in 1957 who builds a machine capable of viewing the past. The production is led by a passionate team of emerging filmmakers and Sheridan BFTV graduates looking to collaborate with dedicated crew members.
Job Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality on-location audio during filming
- Operate and manage sound recording equipment on set
- Collaborate closely with the director and crew to ensure optimal sound quality
- Monitor audio levels and troubleshoot any sound issues during production
- Sync and organize audio files for post-production use
Requirements
- Prior experience as a sound recordist or on-set sound mixer preferred
- Must have a strong understanding of audio recording techniques
- Own equipment is highly preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced film environment
- Passion for filmmaking and storytelling
Compensation
- Unpaid / Non-union
