Job Description
A new theatrical opportunity is available for professional stage performers interested in touring a compelling one-act play across the UK. “Silent Approach,” inspired by the book Police to Paranoia by Rebecca J House, explores the psychological aftermath of trauma experienced by a female officer in the Lancashire Constabulary. Written by Caroline Lamb and directed by Helen Parry, the production is scheduled to tour key cities including Lancashire, Salford, and London.
This powerful piece calls for emotionally resonant performances and a strong connection to real-world experiences in law enforcement, mental health, and social justice. The play is supported by the Lancashire County Council and tackles complex themes through intimate storytelling.
Job Responsibilities

Perform in a one-act theatrical production addressing trauma and mental health

Portray characters with emotional authenticity and nuance

Rehearse, tour, and perform in multiple UK cities including Salford, Lancaster, Scarisbrick, Lytham St Annes, Camden, and Blackburn

Engage with post-show discussions and outreach events, as needed

Collaborate with the director and production team for character development
Requirements

Stage acting experience preferred, especially in dramatic or socially driven work

Strong memorization and line delivery under touring conditions

Availability for all listed tour dates in September and October
