Job Description: Casting directors are now casting actors to work on scenes filming in the United Kingdom on Saturday, July 16th. Must be able to work from the said date. 

Role: Lulu

  • Caucasian female
  • Must be under 4ft (122cm) tall.
  • The young daughter of the lead character, Jenna, is to play 4-5 years old.
  • A sweet, carefree child appears in the last scene of the show.
  • Should be confident and be able to engage in a small amount of dialogue and movement on stage and be happy to be lifted on stage by one of the adult actors.
    • This is a small but important role in the musical. The production will hire two local girls to play the role of Lulu for the engagement in each venue.
    • It would be best if you lived within an effortless traveling distance of Norwich. No more than 45 minutes were traveling door to door.

A new theatrical opportunity is available for professional stage performers interested in touring a compelling one-act play across the UK. “Silent Approach,” inspired by the book Police to Paranoia by Rebecca J House, explores the psychological aftermath of trauma experienced by a female officer in the Lancashire Constabulary. Written by Caroline Lamb and directed by Helen Parry, the production is scheduled to tour key cities including Lancashire, Salford, and London.

This powerful piece calls for emotionally resonant performances and a strong connection to real-world experiences in law enforcement, mental health, and social justice. The play is supported by the Lancashire County Council and tackles complex themes through intimate storytelling.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform in a one-act theatrical production addressing trauma and mental health

  • Portray characters with emotional authenticity and nuance

  • Rehearse, tour, and perform in multiple UK cities including Salford, Lancaster, Scarisbrick, Lytham St Annes, Camden, and Blackburn

  • Engage with post-show discussions and outreach events, as needed

  • Collaborate with the director and production team for character development

Requirements

  • Stage acting experience preferred, especially in dramatic or socially driven work

  • Strong memorization and line delivery under touring conditions

  • Availability for all listed tour dates in September and October

  • Comfort in addressing sensitive themes around trauma and mental health

  • Must be reliable, professional, and team-oriented
