A Los Angeles-based lighting studio is seeking a motivated photography or cinematography student for a hands-on studio internship. This educational opportunity is designed for students interested in professional lighting, photography, filmmaking, and creative production.
The intern will work directly alongside an experienced lighting director, gaining real-world industry experience while helping launch a new lighting studio. The position offers valuable exposure to professional studio operations, lighting techniques, production workflows, and creative business practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with daily studio operations and setup.
- Learn professional lighting techniques using strobes and continuous lighting systems.
- Support photography and film production projects.
- Help organize and maintain lighting and camera equipment.
- Participate in studio development and operational tasks.
- Observe professional productions and on-set workflows.
- Assist with test shoots and creative projects as needed.
Requirements
- Current photography, cinematography, or related creative arts student.
- Passion for photography, filmmaking, and lighting.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to commit to three days per week.
- Must be eligible to receive academic credit through a school program.
- Portfolio and social media presence preferred but not required.
