Casting Call: Young Male Actor for Australian Feature Film

Barrett Casting is on the search for fresh talent to fill an exciting role in a new Australian feature film. This is a unique opportunity for young male actors of Chinese and/or Japanese heritage to be part of a dynamic film project.

• Title: Young Male Actor
• Notable Past Projects: Talk to Me, The Babadook, Of An Age, Blaze, You Won’t Be Alone, The Nightingale, Cargo.
• Location: Applicants can be based anywhere in Australia.
• Filming Dates: To be disclosed upon casting completion.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in read-throughs, rehearsals, and performance workshops as required.
• Work collaboratively with the director, cast, and crew to bring the character to life.
• Be available for the entire shooting schedule, ensuring punctuality and commitment.
• Take direction from the production team and adapt performance accordingly.
• Contribute to promotional activities as needed, such as interviews or personal appearances.

Requirements:

• Gender: Male
• Age Range: 16-18 years
• Ethnic Background: Chinese and/or Japanese heritage
• Acting Experience: None required, but must have a willingness to learn and take direction.
• Availability: Must be available for the duration of the filming schedule and have the ability to travel if not based near the shooting location.

Compensation Details:

• Payment will be commensurate with industry standards and the experience level of the actor.
