An upcoming short film titled CORE is seeking talented actors for two supporting roles in a heartfelt story about ambition, sacrifice, and the struggle to rediscover one’s dreams. Filming will take place in Adelaide in January 2026. The project follows Noah, a young man whose passion for drumming has faded under the pressures of adulthood until a chance at redemption reignites his spirit.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver emotionally grounded performances that align with the film’s dramatic tone

• Collaborate with the director and team to bring authenticity and depth to each scene

• Participate in rehearsals and scheduled filming days in Adelaide

• Embody the emotional themes of ambition, resilience, and transformation

Requirements

• Danny (Male presenting, 40s–50s): A bitter, manipulative supermarket manager who views himself as a savior for employing Noah. Controlling, condescending, and intimidating—he represents the trap Noah fears he can’t escape.

• Sandy (Female presenting, 30s–40s): A senior moderator at a music academy. Professional, composed, and commanding, she symbolizes opportunity and legitimacy beyond Noah’s current life.

• Performers from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including First Nations, people of color, LGBTQIA+ artists, and performers with disabilities.

Job Description
A short film production in Sydney is casting three individuals of Lebanese background to portray lead roles in a powerful and heartfelt story. The film explores themes of identity, community, and connection, and welcomes fresh new talent eager to bring authenticity to the screen. No prior acting experience is required — just confidence and a willingness to collaborate on camera.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray a lead or supporting role in a dramatic short film

• Work closely with the director and crew to bring emotional depth to your character

• Participate in rehearsals and follow direction during production

• Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude on set

Requirements

• Must be of Lebanese descent

• Based in Sydney or able to work locally

• Roles available:

  • Young Boy: Ages 11–13

  • Young Girl: Ages 11–14

  • Young Man: Ages 19–25

• Confidence in front of the camera preferred, but no acting experience required

• Must be available for filming in December (exact dates TBD)
