CASTING CALL: ASL Translator for Major Toe Artist Music Video

Job Details: We are seeking an experienced ASL (American Sign Language) translator for an upcoming music video featuring a major toe-tapping artist. This project promises to be a vibrant and visually captivating experience, and we are excited to include the deaf and hard-of-hearing community in the magic.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-set ASL translation services for dialogue, lyrics, and instructions to ensure seamless communication between the artist and the deaf or hard-of-hearing members of the crew.
  • Work closely with the director, producer, and the artist to ensure that the artistic vision is effectively conveyed to everyone involved.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure that the video is accessible and inclusive to all viewers.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in American Sign Language with a strong understanding of various dialects and styles.
  • Proven experience as an ASL translator in the entertainment industry, particularly in music videos or similar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Familiarity with music video production processes and terminology is a plus.

Compensation Details:

  • Rate: $600 for 8 hours of work on set.
