CASTING PEOPLE WHO HELP CARE FOR A SENIOR FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND, FOR A MAJOR CANADIAN BRAND COMMERCIAL!
We’re seeking individuals, ages 30-55, in the Greater Toronto Area who have a senior in their life, 65+.
We are interested in hearing about different ways you help a senior, whether it’s emotionally (such as spending time together), medically (like driving them to appointments), or administratively (helping to pay bills).
The senior you help could be a family member, close friend, neighbour, or other relationship.
Please note that we are not looking for PSWs/nurses or medical professionals, we are looking for people who have a personal connection with a senior.
Do you care for a family member or friend? Do you check in regularly with a loved one or neighbour, or spend quality time with them? Is their safety, freedom and independence important to you? If so, we want to hear from you!
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PARTICIPATION OF THE SENIOR IS REQUIRED FOR THE SHOOT.

- All notes below apply to you and the senior you are applying with.
This is a non-union project. No acting experience is required; however, you should be outgoing and comfortable being filmed and interviewed. - Strict COVID-19 safety protocol will be adhered to during the production of this commercial and it will be produced in accordance with public health guidelines at the time of filming. - To apply, you MUST be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
If shortlisted, you MUST be available for a brief online interview with the director on May 24th-25th. You will only be required briefly on one day. - If selected, you MUST be available for a PCR COVID test between June 5th-8th. You will only be required briefly on one day.
- If selected, you MUST be available for a wardrobe appointment between June 5th-8th. You will only be required briefly on one day.
- If selected, you MUST be available for filming on June 9th and 10th. You will only be required on one day but must keep both dates available until booked.
- If booked, you will receive $75 for a covid test appointment, $75 for a wardrobe appointment (if required), and $1,000 for one day of filming. If your footage is in the final commercial, you will receive an additional $1,500.
