Job Description:
A New York City-based short film titled “Joanie’s Big Secret” is now casting actors for multiple lead and supporting roles. The story follows a lonely woman who runs one of the hottest gay bars in New York, exploring themes of identity, intimacy, and voyeurism. This project is backed by experienced producers and is targeting major film festivals including Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform in scripted scenes set in a nightclub and related environments
- Collaborate with the director and cast to bring authentic performances to life
- Participate in emotionally expressive and character-driven scenes
- Be comfortable with improv and dynamic on-set direction
- Maintain professionalism throughout production
Requirements:
- Men (20s–30s): Strong actors for lead roles; must be confident, playful, and comfortable in LGBTQ+ party scenes, including partial nudity if required
- SAA Meeting Members (30s–60s): Character actors of all ethnicities and genders for supporting roles
- Bouncer (30s–50s): Must portray a strong, authoritative presence
- Comfortable performing in a club/bar setting
- Strong improvisation skills preferred
- Open to all ethnicities and backgrounds
Compensation:
- $50 per day
