Job Description

A Houston City College student production is casting for the short film “Teresa.” This emotionally driven project follows a young woman haunted by familiar whispers no one else can hear. As she struggles with tormenting hallucinations of her late father urging her to return home, she escapes mental confinement—unaware that a mysterious tragedy awaits her.

The production is seeking passionate and committed actors to bring depth and intensity to this psychological drama. Performers must be comfortable portraying emotionally complex characters.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray assigned character with emotional authenticity and depth

  • Memorize and deliver scripted dialogue in English and/or Spanish as required

  • Collaborate with director and fellow cast members

  • Attend rehearsals and scheduled filming days

  • Maintain professionalism on set

Roles Available

Teresa Aguilar – Lead Role

Perla Serrano – Supporting Role

Luz Aguilar – Supporting Role

  • Female, 35–50 years old

  • Warm and nurturing on the surface; guarded and burdened by family secrets

Nurse – Supporting Role

  • Any gender, 20–35 years old
