Like many major studio productions, the project is operating under a code name (“Exodus”) for confidentiality and tax incentive purposes. Casting is currently underway for background actors and specialty roles, offering a unique opportunity to be part of one of DC Studios’ biggest upcoming films.

- Release Date: July 2027 (expected)
- Current Status: Casting
What We Know So Far:
Exodus serves as the direct sequel to 2025’s Superman, continuing the foundation of the rebooted DC Universe. While plot details remain under wraps, the film is expected to expand Clark Kent’s journey as both a journalist and a global hero.
The use of the codename “Exodus” follows a biblical naming pattern—mirroring the first film’s codename “Genesis”—and helps conceal production details while securing tax credits in Ohio.
Casting calls confirm large-scale scenes, including families and photo doubles, suggesting a mix of personal, grounded moments alongside blockbuster action sequences. With James Gunn returning as director, the sequel is expected to maintain a tone centered on hope, humanity, and heroism.
