Virginia Lottery commercial casting call for actors in Richmond, Virginia.

Are you an aspiring actor looking for your big break? If so, the Virginia Lottery has a casting call that you will want to attend! They are currently casting for a series of television commercials and need talent from all walks of life — no prior experience necessary.

The auditions will take place at the Richmond Convention Center from August 8th to August 12th, and applicants can submit their submissions either in-person or online. Applicants must be between 18 and 70 years old, and submissions must be made by July 18th if they wish to be considered.

The Virginia Lottery commercial requires actors aged 25-60 of any ethnicity. They are looking for interesting-looking real people who each feel like they already have a backstory — professional suit types, long-haired cool creatives, and a mix of races/ages/body types. For those chosen as cast members, improv chops are also required.

The rate for actors from VA (working as locals) is $400 for 10 hours plus 1.5x extra pay should two more additional hours be needed; there’s even a 2x extra for the 3rd additional hour if needed. Usage pay amounts to $600 in the final edit; fitting fees are $75, and the agency fee is 15%. There will be deliverables such as one:30 commercial and one:15 commercial along with resizes for social media formatting (roughly 10-15 various aspect ratios and sizes). Social Cut-Aways: Specific:05 to:08 second social media edits using b-roll material will also be required. The run dates are from April 1st to May 31st (13 weeks) but could extend beyond that time frame if approved by the lottery’s executives. The project will air statewide in Virginia but not exclusively – meaning other states may also get access – across broadcasting TV spots; Urban Views, Gimbal, YouTube Slightly, ESPN Sports, Pandora, Sabio, Hulu OTT, Buzzfeed, and many other platforms, including Facebook, Instagram Snapchat GSTV Teads Loopme Junegroup & VDX are all subject to change as per the project’s requirements.

Session:  $400 for 10 – 1.5x for two additional hours, 2x for the 3rd extra hour if needed.

Open to any ethnicity with an age range: of 25-60

Seeking interesting-looking real people who all feel like they already have a backstory. Each character should feel like a slightly-exaggerated version of the real people you’d find in an ad agency (professional suit types, long-haired cool creatives, mix of races/ages/bodytypes). The cast should represent diversity, range, character development, and overall coolness. Also, we need serious improv chops in the room.
