The first step to becoming an actor is knowing your type.

But what is your type? Well, have you ever noticed some of your favorite A-list actors play the same character in different movies? Denzel Washington is known for being the tragic hero, many of your favorite actors play romantic love interests, and Jackie Chan will always do Kung-Fu. But, this translates to aspiring actors as well.

Casting director Erica Arvold, and acting coach Richard Warner discuss what it measn to know your type. More importantly, they discuss the importance of knowing how you’re perceived by others, how that information can empower an actor and help an actor land more roles.
