[Watch] Leonardo DiCaprio’s Amazing Audition for ‘The Outsiders’

Date:

Watch Leonardo DiCaprio’s audition for the movie The Outsiders.

Before Leonardo DiCaprio won an Academy Award for The Revenant, before he was every teenage girl’s celebrity boyfriend following The Titanic, DiCaprio was an aspiring actor in Hollywood. And there’s no doubt that DiCaprio is one of the best actors in the game.

He still challenges himself in roles and will undoubtedly shock audiences again with his acting techniques.

But there was a time when DiCaprio didn’t get to star in movies. In fact, DiCaprio had to audition for movie roles just like everyone else. Thirty years ago, DiCaprio was a preteen and auditioned for the role of Ponyboy Curtis in 1983’s The Outsiders. DiCaprio obviously didn’t get the part it went to the older C. Thomas Howell instead — but it kicked off a remarkable career for the young actor.
