In celebration of the upcoming movie of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which is coming out on May 2nd, a video of the main cast Zendaya, Tom Holland, and Jacob Batalon, reacting to their audition video when they first joined the franchise has been released.

The three actors’ auditions for Spider-Man: Homecoming are outlined in a two-minute video that runs through their early application. Holland’s reel is shown first, with the acrobatic actor performing several backflips before web-slinging a boot to himself, which produces amusement from the cast. Finally, Batalon does his audition with a bald head and comically walks away off-screen before returning in character. Zendaya’s more subdued audition reel perfectly suits her personality, MJ. Both Holland and Batalan agree that she did the best in the group.

Tom Holland is the new Spider-Man and he almost didn’t get the role. In an interview with MTV News, Holland recounted how he had to audition for the role multiple times. “I had to do a screen test and then I had to do a tape test and then I had to do a full-on audition in front of the powers that be and it was terrifying,” Holland said.
