Watch Neve Campbell’s Scream audition.

Before Scream was a box office hit franchise, it started off as a simple idea, script, and a casting call. One of the actors chosen to read for the movie was none other than Neve Campbell, The Party of Five and Wild Things actress who would later have a resounding role in the Netflix thriller House of Cards.

In the newly released SCREAM audition tape, Campbell spends much of her time talking on the phone to a killer. In the second half of the audition she speaks with the character Billy Loomis.

You can check out the video below.

Scream would later become a box off hit movie in the 1990s and a pop-culture phenomenom by the early 2000’s. Based partly on the real-life case of the Gainesville Ripper, Scream was inspired by legendary Horror writer Kevin Williamson. The film went on to financial and critical acclaim, earning $173 million worldwide, and became the highest-grossing slasher film in the US.
