Self-taping auditions have become an important way for actors to land acting jobs in the film industry.
While more convenient, it is not as easy as it sounds. While it is a major advantage that an actor does not have to travel and stand in line for an audition, self-taping has its own challenges. A great performance can get overshadowed by a terrible-quality submission.
