The Snapchat Film Festival is FINALLY Here!

Date:

Snapchat and Tribeca Film Festival are looking for your best Snapchat stories.

Snapchat and the Tribeca Film Festival are teaming up to highlight the best Snapchat stories users can produce to screen during the film festival, from April 13 to April 24th.

And Snapchat King DJ Khaled will be one of the several judges ranking contestants.

“Small screens. Big stories,” is the festival’s motto for their new program, TRIBECA SNAPCHAT SHORTS.

Interested in submitting a no-budget narrative to one of the top film festivals in North America? Well, now you can!

According to Snapchat and TFF, if you are over 18 and fall under the 18 percent of U.S. social media users that use snapchat, there are rather few rules for the contest.

Basically, record your story vertically, no copyrighting, keep your entry funny, keep the story under 200 seconds, and don’t cheat by editing or recording outside of the app. Oh, and keep it clean. Not too crazy, right?

If you follow the rules and create an entertaining Snapchat story, you could potentially win a paid trip to NYC and tickets to the world famous Tribeca Film Festival.

If you’re not one of the winners that’ll have their story played at TFF, you may still have your clip featured TFF’s Snapchat Discovery page, or maybe have some free goodies sent your way.

Check out TFF’s website for more in depth information.

You’ll have until March 8th to get your stories in to the TFF. Happy Snapping!
