Do you have a good idea for a short film? If so, NASA will pay $10,000.
For the third year in a row, mass esteemed up with the Houston Cinema arts Society to bring CineSpace.
What is Cinespace?
Cinespace is a short film competition that encourages both professional and aspiring filmmakers to create short films using actual NASA space footage.
How does it work?
Any short film submitted for the Cinespace short film competition can belong to any genre or style of filmmaking including: experimental, narrative, documentary, comedy, drama, animation, ambient, music videos, re-mix, sports, horror, and underground.
You will need to include at least 10% of NASA’s video footage and your short film should not last longer than 10 minutes.
You can check out the complete list of guidelines here. The judges are seeking for short films that exhibit creativity and innovation, attention to detail and if the pieces are able to provoke an emotional response in the viewer.
Richard Linklater, the director of the Oscar-winning film Boyhood and the pop-cultural hit movie Dazed and Confused, will return as one of the judges.
The winner will receive a grand prize of $10,000, followed by a $5,000 prize for second place and $3,000 for third place.
