American Zoetrope Coppola Shorts 2019 is now taking submissions.
The Francis Ford Coppola founded American Zoetrope is now offering this competition looking for a short film. David Benioff of Game of Thrones will select the winner of the grand prize.
“The mission of the Coppola Short Film Competition is to find and promote new and innovative voices in cinema…The winning filmmaker will receive $5,000. American Zoetrope will invite select talent agencies and production companies to view the winning film and four honorable mentions at CoppolaShorts.com,” the press release reads.
“The talent agencies include William Morris Endeavor, CAA, the Gersh Agency, Exile Entertainment, ICM, Oasis Media, UTA, the Radmin Company, Prolific Entertainment, Energy Entertainment, and Dontanville/Frattaroli. And the production companies include American Zoetrope, Samuel Goldwyn Films, Fox Searchlight, Sony Pictures Classics, IFC Entertainment, Verisimilitude, Lionsgate, Icon Pictures, Lleju Productions and Films, Working Title, Dimension Films, Michael London Productions, Hope for Film, Kulture Machine, Number 9 Films, Folo Films, Pretty Pictures, Roserock Films, Astrakan Films, Industry Entertainment, Anonymous Content, Jim Wedaa Productions, Robert Evans Company, Fortis Films, Jean Doumanian Productions, Agape Media International, and Ziskin Productions.”
Deadline to apply is September 1 (Early) and October 15 (Regular).
