Acting Tips: Should You Audition for Anything or Should You Be Selective?

Date:

Should an Actor be Picky?

Should an actor audition for anything and everything that comes their way in order to fill up a resume with roles, or should an actor be selective in what roles they pick?

An actor should consider auditions as a muscle. The more times you exercise the better and stronger your audition skills will become.

However, when it comes to accepting a role, this is a personal decision. If it does not make sense to you, such as not enough money, it is a boring role, or the role will not improve your resume, then you should not pick the role.

Life is extremely short and you don’t want to waste your time on a role that could hurt your career.
