Zombieland 2 will reportedly film in Georgia and possibly Tennessee.
Last week, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Sony had officially announced the release of Zombieland 2 with director Ruben Fleischer and the movie’s original cast set to return. The first movie featured Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, and Jesse Eisenberg.
The news outlet also suggested that production could begin as early as next January as they plan on releasing the film next October.
According to Omega Underground, the movie’s potential filming locations include Atlanta, Georgia, where the original movie was filmed. Along with scenes filming in Tennessee, which could tie into Woody Harrelson’s character who uses the state’s name as an alias. That said, nothing is confirmed as to where the final filming location will be for the upcoming movie.
Details for the upcoming sequel have not been released except for rumors of a new type of “super zombie.”
Ruben Fleischer’s next movie, Venom, which also filmed in Georgia, is set to make it’s first appearance at San Diego Comic-Con next week as it begins making its marketing push for the upcoming October release date.
