Zayn Malick is developing a TV show “inspired by” his days a boy band member.
According to a press release sent out by NBC on Tuesday, his show will be called Boys and will follow a boy band as they become famous.
According to a press release from NBC Universal, the series follows “the formation of a hugely successful boy band and captures all the excitement, competition and fun, but also provides an inside look into the pressure that follows.”
The show will be produced by Dick Wolf, the guy behind Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Chicago Justice, etc.
Zayn says he is pretty excited about the project. “Dick Wolf is a legend, and the opportunity to work with him and NBC to create a compelling drama series is awesome.”
NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke said in a statement that, “Zayn certainly brings an authentic point of view to this world where kids are catapulted into fame at a dizzying speed.” Noelle Wolf emphasized that casting will be extremely important to the new TV show.
Basically a One Direction TV show is coming soon.
