Will Smith’s Enemy of the State is being transformed into a TV series.
ABC has ordered a put-pilot commitment to create a TV series version of the hit Will Smith feature film, Enemy of the State. The TV series will take place twenty years after the original film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show will center around a NSA spy who is charged with leaking classified intelligence, a female attorney who is in charge of trying to stop the global conspiracy and dark secrets from leaking to the public.
Jerry Bruckheimer produced the original movie which co-starred Gene Hackman, Jon Voight and Jack Black. Morgan Foehl from Blackhat will write the show’s script.
Enemy of the State movie was a box office hit earning $250 million worldwide.
This is just the latest of many movies that are now being turned into TV series including Dynasty, War of the Worlds, Magnum P.I., The Lost Boys, Varsity Blues, The Departed, She’s Gotta Have It and L.A. Law.
