Sony Pictures releases the next trailer for “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”
The follow-up to 2012′s comic book adventure finds the wall crawler doing battle with not one, but three scientifically enhanced villains in the form of the Green Goblin/Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), the Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and Electro (Jamie Foxx).
“Every day I wake up knowing that the more people I try to save, the more enemies I will make,” Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield) notes ominously in the trailer’s narration. “And it’s just a matter of time before I face those with more power than I can overcome.”
Sony, which is distributing the film, teased Electro prior to ComicCon last summer, but the studio has decided to put the Goblin front and center in this teaser for the superhero sequel. DeHaan, a dead-ringer for Leonardo DiCaprio, nails the character’s attitude and if this trailer is any indication, he and his father, a sickly looking Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper), will be the ones pulling the strings.
