Tyler Perry recently made an amazing investment, purchasing 37 acres of land in Atlanta for $8.4 million to expand his film studios.
Tyler Perry’s expansive Hollywood real estate has expanded even further, but not in California. He recently purchased a whopping 37 acres of land for $8.4 million to add to his Atlanta-based empire – and they only finalized the sale on Dec 28th! The deal has been ongoing since June 2021, so we can expect to see more significant changes from the media mogul soon enough.

This purchase will bring the total acreage of land to an expansive 367 acres.
In an interview with the Atlanta Business Chronicle in 2020, Perry remarked on his exciting plans to add a vibrant entertainment district complete with restaurants and theater houses of various sizes ranging from 50 seats to 350 seats. This ambitious project will bring life and energy to the production campus while allowing patrons many options for dining out or taking in live performances!
In 2015, Perry acquired the land of Tyler Perry Studios for a hefty $30 million. The United States military forces formerly utilized the premises.
Since then, Perry has had his hand in many projects, such as the films Coming 2 America and Red Notice and the television show Hawkeye. Of course, many of these productions have taken place on location at his studios. Most recently, it was home to the fifth Democratic presidential debate in 2019.
Boasting 12 stages of 10,000 square feet and 15 distinct sets, such as the White House, chapel, county jail, classic diner, and baseball fields, these studios provide an array of resources for your production needs.
Tyler Perry is making waves in the entertainment industry with the long-term four-picture deal he recently signed with Amazon Studios. As if that wasn’t enough, Perry has dedicated himself to telling a captivating story set during World War II titled “Six Triple Eight” on Netflix. The film recounts the gripping tale of an all-Black and all-female battalion who made history – one we will remember!
