‘Walking Dead’ Fans Bash Latest Episode: “The Show Sucks Now”

Date:

Is The Walking Dead in trouble?

After suffering several massive drops in ratings, the show’s latest episode “Sing Me a Song” took deeper look at the Sanctuary and the world of Negan and the Saviors; members of Alexandria look for supplies.

But, fans were not that impressed and took to Twitter to criticize the direction the show is headed.

But, Walking Dead fans are not alone. Forbes recently reviewed the latest episode:

“Sunday night’s episode of The Walking Dead made some welcome changes but still failed to break away from the season’s most irritating shenanigans.”

The latest round of criticism comes as The Walking Dead suffered record loses in ratings. After 17 million people tuned in for the Walking Dead premiere, that number has dropped significantly. The very next episode brought the viewership down to 12.46 million. Since then, it’s gone to 11.72, 11.40, and then settling on 11 million.

Filming for The Walking Dead has wrapped for the season, so there is little anyone can do to change the tide of the rapid ratings decline. Hopefully, Rick and the gang can save the day before it’s too late.

It may be important to point out that The Walking Dead season 7 is the lowest rated season on Rotten Tomatoes. As Moviepilot pointed out, “Critics and audiences are currently calling Season 7 the worst one yet, with a Tomatometer score of just 70% and an audience score of 76%. Previously, the biggest loser was Season 6, with a Tomatometer score of 78%.”
